Elle Decor covers

So is it just me, or does Elle Decor just seem to be getting better and better each month? I thought last month (October 07) was one of the best I had seen in a long time – and the cover still blows me away. But when I picked up my copy of November’s issue I started to drool. Now I can’t figure out which one I love more. So, I thought I might do something different and ask you guys. Let’s vote – I am going to run a poll and I want you to vote on which cover you like most – or if you like neither – OR if there is another back-issue cover that is still your fave. The poll will run til the end of the month and then I’ll know the winner. It’s all anonymous, so anyone who’s been visiting and not leaving comments, now’s your time to have your say!

I love the November cover, BUT I love Michelle Smith’s home more!

At first glance, I thought it would be easy, Suzy, since I’m a gilt-framed mirror and starburst chandelier kind of girl, but the Frank Roop room is so good . . .

  • Cote de Texas says:

October baby! Those chairs – just like Patricia said. Suzy – thanks for your sweet comments, it means the world to me. It’s too late for me to research back issues, so I’ll just pick out these two, ok? October!

  • Suzy says:

Thanks to all for commenting, it’s good to see that we are getting some votes, although its looking a bit one-sided at the moment…and to be honest I’m not suprised by the results so far! 7 more days to go!

Thank you so much Ann! You’ve made my day, what a sweet message. I really only started blogging to get my creative juices flowing and had no idea that I would make contact with so many like minded people. It makes it so much more enjoyable when you know that someone will get a kick out of something you’ve posted.

I am working on getting some images of my work together, but it might take a while as my portfolio is a bit old, and as I’m working for a private company here I can’t really post projects I’m currently working on due to copyright. But, if you can all bear with me, maybe next year I’ll have a place here to renovate, and I intent to share the entire renovation with you all!

I think you’re absolutely right Suzy!!!

Great Poll, it’s hard to say because I think most of their covers are great. But of the two -October, because I love the yellow zebra print chairs.

  • stljoie says:

My goodness. One radiates warmth and the other is a cool breeze. I like them both.

  • Jess says:

They’re both great covers, makes me want to add another home & garden subscription to my household. Frank Roop’s room is eyecatching, but October gets my vote – so lively.

  • The Peak of Chic says:

Great idea Suzy! Off to vote…

Your blog continues to make me happy every time I log on. I knew the first time I visited and saw that you listed Parzinger, Louboutin, Wearstler and Pink Martini as some of your favorites, we were kindred spirits. Thanks for the daily inspiration. I took your advice and went to the Rizzoli store the last time I was in NYC-I could have stayed all day-but after 2 hours, $200 and what felt like 200 lbs of books later, my husband insisted we go.

I like the October cover best, the big poof of gold and the gorgeous, yet whimsical stripey chairs. Although, gray is my favorite color, especially when paired with gold accents…hmm?!!!

Please show us some of your work, I’m certain it’s beautiful.

Thansk SCJ, I’ve just edited the post and added the labels for each cover in case anyone else hasn’t seen these before.

Which is which? I am not an Elle Decor subscriber.
